The inaugural Manatee Bowl was a game with two entirely different halfs.  The first half found each team playing cautiously.  The only score in the first quarter came as a result of a bad snap on a punt by the San Diego Thunder resulting in a safety for the Conshohocken Steelers (score 2 to 0).  The only score in the 2nd quarter came with 1:52 left in the half on a 24-yard TD pass play.  The PAT was good (score 9-0), at the half.

The 2nd half was much more aggressive with San Diego picking up a TD in the 3rd quarter and then again mid-way through the 4th quarter to gain the lead for the first time.  Conshohocken regained the lead with 3:05 left in the game.  San Diego responded with a 49-yard pass for a TD with 2:21 left in the game.
