The inaugural Palm Bowl featured a balanced offensive attach by the Ocala Peppers as they defeated the Georgia Gladiators by a score of 34 to 6. The Peppers rushed for 100 yards and passed for another 104 yards.
Georgia scored first by picking up a fumble and going 28 yards for the score. Ocala responded 2 minutes later with a 56-yard pass to tie the score at 6 to 6. The Peppers continued by successfully scoring in every quarter and won the game 34 to 6.
